The game of video poker came out in the 70’s but took until the 80’s to gain popularity. Many of the players at casinos were scared to play at the tables because they didn’t know much about it but liked to play. They turned to the video poker machines. This was safe and they could play cheaper than the tables.
The game is simple to play. Start off by putting in coins. The number of coins you put in determines what is paid out. This is usually from 1 to 5 coins. The more coins the bigger the payout is. You will then hit deal hand and a hand of five cards slots up.
Decide on which cards to hold and hit deal again. You will receive how many you got rid of back. The final hand you get decides how much if any you win. The pay table is shown on top of game.
